True lies
Melissa sa znepokojene zahľadela na svoju tvár pokrytú vyrážkami, na škaredé mastné vlasy, ktoré si zastrčila za uši a na úzke pery. Jej tmavé zelené oči sa na ňu vydesene pozerali. Prvý deň na novej škole. A keby len na nejakej! Veď išlo o jednu z najprestížnejších škôl v New Yorku. Dostanete sa na ňu len ak sa dobre učíte alebo máte peniaze. A tie síce Melisse nechýbali, ale aj tak sa tam chcela dostať pomocou známok, ktorých mala v poslednom čase veľmi veľa. Zrazu si spomenula, že stojí v kúpeľni len v spodnom prádle a nevie čo si má na seba vziať. Rozhodla sa pre sivú dlhšiu sukňu, formálny čierny svetrík bez výstrihu, čierne čižmičky na nízkom opätku a veľkú tašku cez plece, do ktorej sa zmestili všetky zápisníky a nepodstatné veci, ktoré boli podľa nej podstatné. Znepokojene sa znovu zahľadela do zrkadla a venovala pohľad aj kozmetickému stolíku, na ktorom ležalo znepokojivo málo vecí. Má ešte pár minút mohla by...skôr než dokončí myšlienku zúrivo chytá do rúk tekutý make-up, rozotrie ho na pokožke, ale nestojí zo za reč. Načo by sa vôbec parádila, ide len do školy.... Rýchlo sa odlíči pár krát nadýchne, toto bude určite najhorší deň v jej živote. Alebo...?
„Nina? Do čerta kde si toľko? Zmeškáš školu a to je tvoj prvý deň!“ zakričala pani Foleyová sa svoju dcéru, ktorá sa na seba dívala v zrkadle. Modré oči mala orámované dlhými mihalnicami a čiernou linkou. Naniesla si bledoružový tieň s takou ľahkosťou, že by jej také nanášanie závideli aj profesionálne maskérky. Keď chcela, vedela byt očarujúca. Mierne naklonila hlavu a usmiala sa. Dnešok patril jej. Nová škola, nový priatelia, nový chlapci, ktorých bude stretávať na uliciach New Yorku, pretože škola do ktorej bola prihlásená je len pre dievčatá z vyšších vrstiev. „Nina?!“ zamrmlala jej mladšia sestra Amy. Nina vedela byť aj nepríjemná, keď chcela. Posledný pohľad na sexi dievča do zrkadla a ísť preč. Idem do školy, prajem ti príjemný deň. Tvoja Nina. Odoslala správu Jeremymu a spokojne vykročila z kúpeľne na druhom poschodí a zamierila dole do prímacej haly.
Bolo už určite ráno. Ashley nepatrila medzi ranné vtáčatá. Nie po preflámovanej noci. Do nosa jej udrela vôňa alkoholu a niečoho čo nedokázala identifikovať. V hlave jej búšilo- ešte stále si nevedela zvyknúť na jej nové návyky a prežúrované noci. Hlavne nech si to neposerie...Pozrela sa na rolexky na pravej ruke a pretrela si oči. Znovu. Nič nepomáhalo- veď je už 8:30. A jej prvý školský deň sa začína o 9:15. „Doriti,“ zašepkala a rýchlo sa postavila z postele. Vedľa nej ležala chlapčenská postava. Ako sa len volá...dumala Ashley a náhlivo sa osprchovala. „Ash? Ash si hore?“
